CALL FOR PAPERS

Contributions are invited for this interdisciplinary conference on women religious of Britain and Ireland. Academics, postgraduate students, teachers, archivists, and others are invited to offer short papers, group sessions with chair, or contributions to workshops on any aspect of the history of women religious of Britain and Ireland and / or their archives. This programme provides a stimulating and congenial forum for the discussion of the history of women religious; it seeks to reflect the diversity of the experience of women religious throughout time and the importance of their archives to historical understanding.
We welcome submissions from all disciplines with an interest in the topic. Please send abstracts of 200 words by Friday, 13 March 2015 to:

The date of the HWRBI 2015 conference in Maynooth has been set to avoid overlap with two other conferences, ‘The Nun in the World: A Transnational Study of Catholic Sisters and the Second Vatican Council (Cushwa Centre & London Global Gateway, 7 – 9 May 2015), and ‘Martin Luther and Catholic Theology: An International Conference (St Patrick’s College Maynooth, 15-17 May 2015).
