Living Archives in the Catholic Church
Recording the past, informing the present, inspiring the future
2pm-4pm BST (UK time) on Thursday 16 September 2021
This free online workshop, organised by the CCS and the Catholic Archives Society, will explore approaches to preserving the archives of various Catholic bodies. The speakers—archive practitioners from Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the USA—will draw on their own experiences to describe some of the ways in which Catholic archives are being preserved and used at present. They will also raise some possibilities for future developments in terms of care for these archives, as well as explain the essential role of the archivist in this work.
